John Bellville - Executive Director & Founder

John serves as Executive Director of the Western Seaboard Integrated Conservation Initiative (WSICI), a 501(c)(3) conservation nonprofit whose work spans the western seaboard, from Alaska and western Canada through the western United States to Mexico. He brings years of on-the-ground experience as District Manager of the Illinois Valley and Two Rivers Soil and Water Conservation Districts in Josephine County, Oregon, where he built and manages one of the region’s water quality monitoring programs and leads watershed restoration, grant development, and regulatory research across the Illinois River Basin and the broader Klamath-Siskiyou region. At WSICI, John is guiding the organization’s early growth, including its governance framework, its federal and state funding pipeline, and its first projects.
